Integrate

SiteGuardian for Shopify. Watch your storefront while you sleep.

Shopify powers a lot of small shops. SiteGuardian watches the storefront URL you give it, every minute, and emails you the moment the answer is no. No app to install; no credentials to paste.

  • Probe the storefront, /checkout, /cart, and admin from one URL list.
  • Minutely cadence. Finds most outages inside sixty seconds.
  • No Shopify app install. Works on any storefront URL.
  • Custom slow threshold per URL (e.g. Faster for /checkout).
  • SSL certificate expiry watcher free on every plan.

What you get

What you actually get on Shopify.

Six concrete platform-specific things, in plain English. The boring safeguard reads the same on every site; the path to it does not.

  1. No Shopify app required

You point SiteGuardian at your storefront URL like any external monitor. There is no Shopify app to install, no API key to paste, no shared admin to grant.

  2. Watches the storefront you actually sell from

Add /products/<hero>, /cart, /checkout, /pages/about. Every page that, if offline on a Tuesday afternoon, would ruin the day.

  3. Custom slow thresholds per URL

Set a tight threshold on /checkout (say 1.5 seconds) and a looser one on /pages/about. SiteGuardian trips the right alert at the right pace.

  4. SSL certificate expiry watcher

Shopify handles renewal itself, but renewals fail silently. SiteGuardian pings the cert path on a 30-day-out cadence and emails you 90 days ahead of expiry.

  5. Multi-region minutely probing

SiteGuardian probes from multiple regions so a CDN hiccup in one geography does not falsely trigger the alert email.

  6. Quiet by default

No daily digest, no health-score chart. One email when something stops answering, one email when it comes back, and that is the entire sound.

How it works

Setup, in three beats.

  1. Step 01

    Add your Shopify storefront URL

Paste the storefront root (https://<shop>.myshopify.com or your custom domain). Set the slow threshold in plain English. SiteGuardian starts probing inside the next minute.

  2. Step 02

Add the secondary URLs you sell from

If your store has a hero product URL or a /pages/about that gets traffic from organic search, add those too. The rule of thumb: one URL per page you would be embarrassed to have offline on a Tuesday afternoon.

  3. Step 03

Sit on the inbox for a fortnight

The boring safeguard passes its own test here: set up once, the dashboard stays green, the inbox stays quiet. The first time something really does stop answering, you’ll get one email, in plain sentences, naming the URL and the time.

What the alert actually says

One email. One URL. One timestamp.

Your URL https://yourstore.myshopify.com/products/hero answered slowly at 4,820ms (your threshold is 1,500ms) at 14:32 UTC. Probe will retry in 60 seconds.
